Applied Theatre Productions

Cancer Tales written by Nell Dunn and directed by Trevor Walker is a piece of verbatim theatre based on a series of conversations and interviews with medical practitioners, patients and carers. It follows the true stories of five remarkable women and their experiences of cancer.

It has been performed at theatres and medical conferences in the U.K., Ireland, mainland Europe and in the U.S.A.

Funded by Mundipharma International, who have also republished the play as part of a Communicating in Cancer Care Workbook*, productions have been presented for the Royal Society of Medicine, the National Council for Palliative Care, The World Congress of Psycho-Oncology and the World Cancer Congress. Performances of the play have also been used in training seminars and conferences for MacMillan Cancer Care, Marie Curie, Cancer Research UK and Maggie’s Centre.
